Joshua and Beth Duncan

The Shoe tree near Pogue Library

The Shoe Tree is located outside Pogue Library and is an ongoing tradition for couples who met at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ State and went on to get married.

Beth and I met as Rovers for ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ State Housing. It was my senior year and her freshman year. She didn’t like me at first, but I began to grow on her. By the time graduation rolled around neither of us were ready to give the other up. We began dating and December 15, 2018 we finally sealed the deal. Beth is finishing out her degree at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ State while I’ve since moved on to WKCTC to become a certified PTA. Cheering on the Racers at a ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ State Basketball game has become a routine for us. If we can’t make the games, we’re watching the app. ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ State will always be a second home for us and we’re proud to be a part of the Racer family.
